This is an advanced feature of EZ File Transplanter.  If you do not understand what it does or you are not willing to read the instructions, please do not use this section.

Switch Drives is used if your drives have changed so that they have different letters.  This can happen when you add a new harddrive or device or when you change the cables connecting your drives.  Switch Drives does not change the drive letters of the drives but it changes links to the drives letters. 

Switch Drives does a complete switch (one drive letter for another).  If you just want to change from one drive letter to another (without also changing the other drive letter), please use Map Only.

Please note that you must switch the drives (so that they have the new drive letters) before performing Switch Drives.

The main screen of EZ File Transplanter has three big buttons.  The second button is the Switch Drives button.

Click on the Switch Drives button.

Type in the two drive letters that you want switched.

The next two screens will be the Show Advanced Map Options screens.

A progress bar gives a rough idea of the progress.  The progress bar starts over at certain times.  This is normal and does not signify any problems.

The last screen tells whether the move was successful and tells how many links were changed.
