Registry Cleaner

This section cleans certain parts of the Registry which record your actions.  While recording your actions can come in handy when retyping the same information or reopening the same files (Windows gives you a list of possibilities which you can select and let it complete, instead of having to type in the whole thing), it also can compromise your privacy.  So if you want convenience and do not care about your privacy, you can disregard this section, but if you don't want others seeing what you have done, use this section to remove your tracks out of the registry.
If you want a clean registry, try our award winning registry cleaner, RegVac.
To remove traces of your actions from the registry, check the checkboxes on the right of the parts that you want emptied then click on the "Clean Checked Lists >>" button.  The "Clean Checked Lists >>" button does not work in the Trial version.  Please purchase A1Click Ultra PC Cleaner to enable this feature.
If you check the "Clean Checked Lists During Main Scan" checkbox, the main scan (Run Settings and Clean PC) will empty the checked parts.  The Remove Tracks scan always empties certain registry items (see Remove Tracks for more details).
The "List Items" buttons list the items in the registry for that checkbox's item is in the registry. This allows you to delete individual items.  Items deleted in this way are backed up in the undo file.  The deletion of individual items is disabled in the Trial version.  Please purchase A1Click Ultra PC Cleaner to enable this feature.

Description of what part of Windows each checkbox affects:

· Internet Address History - a history of what has been typed in the Address textbox of Internet Explorer.
· Internet Password List - a list of logins and passwords used in Internet Explorer.  These are encrypted in the registry.
· Internet AutoComplete - a list of words and phrases entered in textboxes of webpages opened in Internet Explorer.  These are encrypted in the registry.  This section of the registry can grow to an enormous size.  The "List Items" button lists the items in a web browser instead of the usual To remove individual items from this list, simply put the cursor over the item you want to delete when Internet Explorer shows it in a popup menu and press the Delete button.
· Run History - a history of what has been typed in Start Menu's Run textbox.
· Open and Save History - a history of what has been opened and saved by programs.
· Document History - a history of recently used files sorted by extension.
· OpenWith List - a list of which programs were used to open which file extensions.
· Search History - a history of the terms that you have used to do searches on your computer.
· Find Computer History - a history of the terms that you have used in Find Computer.
· Menu Order - a copy of the folders in the Start Menu and Favorites.  The problem is that when items are removed from the Start Menu and Favorites, they do not get removed from this list in the registry.  So this list can become bloated with outdated items.  When this list is emptied, Windows will rebuild it with only the current items in the Start Menu and Favorites.
· User Assist - a storage area of various urls, files, favorites, and histories for Explorer which in time can become big with many outdated items.  There is not a problem with deleting all of the items in this area.  The items that Explorer needs will be rewritten by Explorer at startup.
· MS Paint Recent File List - a list of the most recent files opened by Microsoft Paint.
· Media Player Recent File List - a list of the most recent files played by Media Player.
